History of foundation

Jessica Washburn, the initiator of the association, travelled to Liberia for the first time in 2017 to work as a volunteer in various social organizations.

The main focus during this time was to get to know the country and its people and to create a network of people who are willing to work together to bring about change, especially for those young people who are on the margins of society and have no access to education.

After returning to Germany, the initial focus was on finding people who together want to get active and share the vision of a world where people take responsibility for each other across national borders.

In March 2018 the association Kids Care Campus e.V. was founded in Germany, consisting of a mixed team of different professions, ages and backgrounds.

Jessica Washburn travelled back to Liberia in 2019 in order to expand her connection to Liberia and to find people who share this vision. There, discussions and workshops took place with committed people who were willing to work as volunteers in order to jointly develop ideas on how global education projects can be implemented.
